April 2009
Recently, the Dutch pop group Smyle (1971-1974), from the Hague, came together for a one time reunion performance at the Platenbeurs in Utrecht on 18 April 2009.

The occasion was the introduction of the CD ‘Clap your Hands and Stamp your Feet’, a CD with 24  ‘Glam’songs from the 70’s, compiled by Jos de Groot (Utrecht) and Robin Wills (London)

In 1972 the group had a top 10 hit called ‘It’s gonna be alright’ written by George Kooymans from the Golden Earring. At that time, the group consisted of Mark Boon (lead and solo guitar, Bas Muys (vocals and rhythm guitar), Peter van der Vossen (bass) and Paul van der Vossen (drums).
